Will Success Growing Pains Make You Fail?

Posted on January 31, 2019February 5, 2019 by admin

Pursuing success can be confusing because the dynamics at play cross many paradigms. On one hand, knowing there are no guarantees sets you up to work hard. In this no guarantees paradigm failure is attributed to not beating the competition — in terms of product, marketing and customer service benchmarks.
But it may be a separate paradigm altogether that will make or break your success. How you navigate the success growing pains paradigm can set you up to win or fail before you even begin.

In the success growing pains paradigm failure is predictable when you don’t fully embrace the process of becoming successful; in other words when you consciously or unconsciously hold yourself back.
Growing pains — such as fear, grief and resistance — often mark the beginning of reaching a new level success. They can actually be a good sign indicating that you are embarking on a period of rapid personal growth! At a deep level you know that you need to become a better version of yourself to have a better life. Your choice to pursue greater success will activate an accelerated process of reinventing yourself on some level.
Repeating a simple statement to yourself (I call it a Word Formula) can go a long way to counteract the impact of growing pains and help to keep you on track. Use the following three Word Formulas for the most common symptoms of accelerated personal growth: fear, grief and resistance.
1. FEAR

Word Formula: “Fear is a normal sign that I am changing. My action will transform my fear into confidence.”

2. GRIEF

Word Formula: “Sadness is a cousin of my success. He/she visits when it’s time to say goodbye to old ways of being. I promise to stay in touch with everyone and everything that is important. Changing is not only okey it is entirely necessary. “

3. RESISTANCE

Word Formula: “The strength of my resistance is in direct relation to the power of my creativity. I say ‘YES’ to my creative flow.”
Understanding that success growing pains come from rapid personal growth and using a Word Formula to counteract them will free you to push past growing pains and fully embrace your success!
