The Launching of Vybz Crowdfunding Campaign

Posted on August 9, 2019March 24, 2021 by admin

Local interior designer and renowned health entrepreneur Deirdre Neufeld today announced a crowdfunding campaign to support her latest tech venture, Vybz. Vybz is a free, local-entertainment search app powered by a social media platform of crowdsourced photos and videos. In the simplest of terms, ‘Instagram meets Yelp’ with more value than Trip Advisor.

“Any business owner that you ask understands the pain of fake reviews that portray their establishment in a poor and inaccurate light,” said Neufeld. “At the same time, anyone who is trying to find a restaurant, nightclub, café or any other entertainment destination can tell you about the difficulty of finding the vibe they are looking for in real time. Just because a review says an establishment has a certain aesthetic, doesn’t mean that applies to the atmosphere, music, and crowd type at the moment you are planning to visit. The same club is certainly different on a Tuesday compared to a Friday.”

Propriety AI and deep machine learning technologies in the Vybz app geotag, time stamp and categorize photo and video stories based on the destinations’ characteristics and vibes. Vybz is prepared to disrupt the current search and review environment as the Vybz stories are in real time, vybe-ratings cannot be tampered with, and the platform provides an honest assessment of the atmosphere and offerings of your next destination. No more wasted Uber rides, barhopping to find a decent crowd, or disappointing nights out – Vybz saves you time and money and helps you create better memories!

“Vybz is going to change the way that establishments attract patrons and the way that entertainment-seekers find their ideal spot. Consumers will have access to photos and videos posted by all businesses on the app and photos and videos posted by their friends within the social network. You are going to the gym after work but want to know how many people are there — pull out the Vybz app to find out. Unlike other social media platforms, posting on Vybz earns users points that they can accumulate and redeem for various rewards,” continued Neufeld.

On her reasons for launching the crowdfunding campaign Neufeld stated, “Last year, female-founded startups in the U.S. raised just 2.2 percent of venture capital investment. Less than 10 percent of decision-makers at VC firms are women and almost three-quarters of U.S. VC firms have no female investors. Clearly, there is a huge imbalance and there are significant barriers for women in the fundraising process. A reliable Crowdfunding marketing agency provides female entrepreneurs with a platform to reach out to those who want to see better female representation in leadership positions at technology companies and greater equality in securing funding for our tech ventures.”
