Trends That Real Estate Investor Ryan Hoggan Is Watching Closely

Posted on September 14, 2021 by David Jackson

Investment has always been volatile. This explains why you have fewer people going into it yearly. For those who do go and get a high ROI on their investment, it is often because they followed a trend.

Watching closely at investment trends will help inform the decisions that you must make. But then, it is not every trend that is worth following. There are specific ones that have high turnover and should be leveraged upon.

These trends are what Executive and Entrepreneur Ryan Hoggan has come to share today. In this interview, he talks about the trends that he is watching closely.

Let’s start from the immediate past. What impact, if any, did the pandemic have on real estate?

First, there were real impacts on the real estate sector. It is impossible to enumerate all the impacts, but I will touch on one that had a direct impact on everyone. This was the surge in the prices of real estate properties. The surge was a big downturn to people, but this is beginning to get balanced.

There are still recoveries being made in some aspects, but generally, conditions are not as bad as they used to be.

Would these impacts have lasting effects or are they water under the bridge?

My answer to that is multifaceted. The thing is that there are some impacts that have happened which we felt their effects, but are now water under the bridge. However, I can’t say this for all as there are some that have lasting effects.

This is why I will just sit on the fence on this. The effects of the pandemic are so huge that years from now, they would still be referred to as a watershed.

Do you think the new normal has created new trends in the real estate sector?

In almost all the sectors of the economy, there have been new trends created. This is because the pandemic took everyone by surprise. As such, the plans that were in place were largely disrupted, and now a new avenue has been created for new trends.

We are now living in a new era where we have to adapt to changes brought by an unexpected emergency. Nonetheless, progress can still be sustained if we follow a set of new trends different from the ones we used to know. Having said all that, the future of real estate is still promising.

What are these new trends that investors like you are watching closely?

There are new trends that I have been following closely because of the profit potentials in them. One of them is digital collectibles like NFTs. NFTs are non-fungible tokens that are expressed in form of arts, images, video games, GIFs, memes, and the rest.

Whether you are a collector, seller, or buyer, the NFT trends are worth paying attention to.

Another one is real estate. Of course, real estate is not new to any of us. What is only new is that we are now in a new era with revolving trends. Investment in this area is getting more competitive and many people have to key into them.

Investment in technological assets is also worth watching closely. For technology, there will always be disruptions, and improved ones would come out. This is why closely watching them is important.

Is there a guarantee that these new trends would turn out beneficial to anyone?

Like any other trend, you can only watch closely and take the risk to leverage them to fruition. There is no guarantee anywhere. The sector is too volatile to be definite about anything. You only have to expect, follow and be wise enough to take charge when the opportunity calls for it.
