Former CBS VP Looks at the MSNBC Crisis

Posted on April 25, 2022 by admin

INTERVIEW ON THE PRICE OF BUSINESS SHOW, MEDIA PARTNER OF THIS SITE.

Recently Kevin Price, Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business Show, interviewed Jeremy Murphy.

On a recent Price of Business, Host Kevin Price visited with media critic and former Vice President of CBS, Jeremy Murphy about the chaos as MSNBC.

According to a statement, “Rachel Maddow has returned from her long hiatus from MSNBC…but not for long. Maddow, MSNBC’s highest rated star, has announced that beginning in May she will only host her 9PM EST show one day a week, on Mondays.

“Since the star host left her show in February to work on other projects, the Rachel Maddow show lost a staggering 40% of its viewers compared to the last week that Maddow hosted the show herself. The rotation of guest hosts didn’t resonate with audiences.

“MSNBC is reportedly facing a “crisis” if Maddow decides to permanently abandon the time slot, but the network is already facing a crisis with her hosting just one night a week.

“With MSNBC in crisis mode without an heiress to the Maddow throne, Jen Psaki is reportedly planning to leave the Biden administration to host a show for MSNBC next month.

“While previous Maddow substitutes during the Maddow hiatus were unable to draw an audience, is MSNBC hoping that Psaki can give them the star power they need? Especially if Maddow ends up leaving the network.

“Is Jen Psaki MSNBC’s last, best hope to save its dismal programming? Can Psaki save MSNBC?

“Jeremy Murphy is a sarcastic, embittered veteran of the media industry. Founder of 360bespoke, a respected boutique PR agency in New York, Murphy handles a full roster of clients in the lifestyle, beauty, fashion, and start-up fields. Previously, he was Vice President of Communications at CBS, where he worked for 14 years. There, he oversaw PR for many of its divisions and created its glossy magazine Watch. Murphy started as a journalist, working with Knight Ridder newspapers and Mediaweek. He is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University and lives in New York with his cat, Champers.”
