Exploring Growing Opportunities in Remote Work

Posted on April 20, 2021 by The Times USA News

Many changes following this past year will likely stick around for a longer, more permanent period of time and for workers that could certainly be the shift towards remote working on a wider scale – whilst there are other interests in the likes of a four-day working week still being explored too, the big difference will come in all of the newer times of remote work that becomes more widespread. Whilst many can find some remote jobs at digitalnomads.world for example with the rise of the digital nomad culture, opportunities in this space are certainly becoming more apparent as things start to return to a ‘new normal’ and gaps start to open up.

A success for online content sharing – Perhaps the most notable of all remote working opportunities and something that has been incredibly successful over the past year and even before, the growing online space for content sharing has become a staple. Available in all shapes and sizes, from the likes of video sharing whether pre-recorded on YouTube or live across sites like Twitch, or even to the newer and more popular ventures like Podcasting which have become available to the average Joe and celebrities alike. Whilst a very competitive space, if you are able to carve out your own space in a niche, it can be a very exciting space to be involved in, and a great opportunity for those looking for opportunities in remote work options.

A different approach for freelancing – Whilst freelancing is nothing new and has always had the allure for those looking to shift to something more remote and independent, it has always been a difficult venture as getting set-up on your own certainly isn’t an easy task. Fortunately, this is something that has become much easier with newer tools and sites aimed at granting exposure – the likes of Etsy for the creative bunch or Fiverr for the professionals looking to ply their trade, both have given newer platforms that allow for an easier access to freelance with less risk, and the ability to change to a remote working lifestyle at will whenever enough business is granted to have less risk of a change, and more chance of success.

Possibilities for location independent work too – Perhaps a bit more of a breakaway from remote working but much in the same category, there has been a rise for those shifting to location independent options too with the likes of blogging, vlogging, and similar work too. As long as you’re able to get online, there are plenty of options to work through this growing space of interest, and as the ‘new normal’ continues to shake out, it will be come clear where more gaps are needed to be filled by this type of work.

These opportunities will certainly only grow, and with remote working looking to be a permanent fixture moving forward too adjustments will certainly only continue as the best ways to work in this way evolve and reveal themselves – it’s an exciting change, however, and something that will be of a huge benefit to many.
