5 Benefits of the Kindergarten Level for Children

Posted on August 27, 2020 by The Times USA News

Many decades ago, the first education level of students was in elementary school. But many educational experts think that the pre-school level is also very important. It is basically a stage to prepare kids to higher levels. By training them in pre-school, it is expected that children can follow teaching and learning activities better. Well, now, we recognize the pre-school level as kindergarten.

Although the kindergarten stage is very important, there are still parents who are doubtful about registering their children. The reason is simple. They think that this stage is only about playing. Of course, perception is not completely true. Many benefits can even be found when you let your children join it. What are they?

Stimulate the Formation of Children’s Brain Structure

It sounds weird indeed but that’s true. Around 5 years old, the children’s brain growth has been up to 90% of the adults. Therefore, the brain must be stimulated through activities like learning and playing. Unfortunately, at home, parents may not have enough time to let children play. Therefore, joining kindergarten is the best answer. Moreover, in the kindergarten, there must be teachers and education experts who know what kind of games to apply to optimize brain formation.

Prompt the Emotional-Social Development

During their time going to kindergarten, children learn to interact and cooperate with their friends. This is how they develop and prompt their emotional and social developments at a very early stage. Interacting earlier enables them to face the wider environment. Meanwhile, they are also trained to follow certain rules to make them more disciplined and responsible. This is how people tend to have good behaviors even after they are growing as adults.

Prompt Confidence

The kindergarten is also a place where they can express and explore their feelings. Sure, there must be children who are shy and not confident to do activities like singing. For those children, it is a job for the teacher to encourage them to be more confident. That’s why; a kindergarten is where children can encourage and motivate themselves. When they are confident as kids, it is expected that their confidence is still on them later.

Start to Read and Write

A kindergarten may not be a place where students must learn to read or write. But the stimulation must be started from this stage. In this education level, children commonly learn shapes of letters through games and interesting activities like singing or drawing. This is how the students can memorize the letters later on a higher level. It makes them easier to learn things like reading or writing. Even if those kids have been interested to read at this level, teachers and parents may let them learn more.

A Preparation for the Elementary School

All the positive things that have been learned in the kindergarten make them be ready to enter the next education level. They tend to be better at learning materials as well as interact with friends. Sure, they must be more disciplined and responsible also in the future.
