One of the most common reasons people seek the help of a hypnotist is to quit smoking.
My guest, Denise Oakley Hall, is a seasoned hypnotist who was always motivated to work with smokers after losing five family members to smoking but recently found a truly effective method to help people quit smoking – almost instantly, so now it is the primary focus of her work.
The method addresses all the aspects with which smokers struggle and aims to obliterate the need and desire to smoke. This one-session program takes about an hour and a half, and the clients walk out of her office as non-smokers, provided with tools to handle all the everyday stresses that they used to believe cigarettes helped with. The program is painless and enjoyable, and it is important that clients realize that they are the ones making the decisions to quit smoking.
Denise Billen-Mejia MD, Consulting Hypnotist and Coach worked for two decades as a clinician in Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine and now, retired from medicine, she actively seeks opportunities to educate physicians and the public about hypnosis.
She is a fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine (section on Hypnosis and Psychosomatic Medicine), and a member of the National Guild of Hypnotists.
