Businesses That Have Been Able To Thrive Through The Pandemic

Posted on April 29, 2021 by The Times USA News

The past year have been a rather difficult and strange year for the entire world as the global pandemic caused by Covid-19 has given us the worst pandemic for many years and has totally shut the world for nearly 14 months now. Although the virus is starting to ease now due to the global vaccination programme, there have been some businesses that have been able to benefit during this time due to the way that they are set up.

One industry that has been able to benefit during this period has been that of the fashion industry, with online sales going through the roof during the past year. With many of us not being able to go out and spend money on food and drink, many consumers have been using their disposable income on clothing as ASOS have reported that their profit margins have gone up 275% over the past year that is astonishing. Their main sales have been through their comfort wear as we have been spending more time at home and on active wear as more of us have been working on our health and fitness during this period.

Other industries that have been able to benefit during this period has been that of online entertainment as we have all been forced to stay at home to combat the spread of the virus, we have all been using online entertainment services as our main way of keeping entertained whilst at home. This has come in the way of tv streaming services like Netflix, gaming consoles like the sales of the next gen consoles like the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 and online gambling. These Malta online casinos have seen a rise in numbers during the pandemic as many of us have been using our extra disposable income on these casinos not just as a form of entertainment, but also as a way of creating a profit from the comfort of our own homes and even with the lockdowns easier, the numbers are continuing to rise.

And finally, home improvement and DIY has also been an industry that has been able to benefit during the last year as many of us have used the extra time we have on our hands to improve our homes, and complete jobs that we’ve wanted to do for some time but just haven’t got round to doing pre-lockdown.
