4 Ways to Stay Productive

Posted on May 22, 2020September 29, 2020 by David Jackson

If you’re anything like me, staying productive can be a challenge. Finding a way to keep yourself busy instead of constantly scrolling through social media, mindlessly watching videos, and staring blankly into space can be surprisingly hard. But hope isn’t lost! Here are 5 ways to help you stay productive.

Exercise

Exercising is one of the most effective ways to help you to stay productive. However, this does require a fair amount of motivation, so it’s always nice to have a friend that you exercise regularly with, to help get you out of bed. It’s also important to cook healthy meals while maintaining an active lifestyle, and cooking these meals is another great way to stay productive.

Going to School

I know, school. The last thing anyone wants to do when they think about enjoyable productivity. But it doesn’t have to be bad! Online school is an exceptionally great way to learn about something you enjoy, get certified, and do it all on your own time! You can maintain a normal life, while growing your knowledge on a subject instead of trying to find something to do.

Clean

Another thing that most people might not want to do in their free time, but having a clean home and work environment can make all the difference. Studies have shown that working and living in a clean environment helps to boost productivity and happiness is those studied.

While cleaning your own spaces can be revitalizing, the redundancy of the task can be a bit mundane to deal with.  Also, if you have a lot going on, then cleaning all the time can just add to stress.  That’s why many people hire a maid service.  Whether you’re from St Louis, Missouri or Paris, France – paying someone else to maintain your home’s freshness and spotlessness is a great way to spend a few bucks.  Compared to most other home maintenance fields, getting a housekeeper is actually one of the cheapest, with the greatest personal reward.  You can give up scrubbing forever which can restore hundreds of hours per year to your overly busy schedule.  What an easy way to reduce stress!

Pick Up a Hobby

Find some things that interest you, and start learning about them! This could mean learning a new instrument such as guitar or piano, singing, woodworking, meat smoking, sewing, or pretty much anything under the sun. The best part about hobbies, is that they’re stress free. You can learn about something you enjoy without needing to worry about deadlines, and can find a way to stay busy!
